Finished reading: Addiction and Grace by Gerald G. May π
I only started reading Gerald May books a few years ago, but I now have read through most of them in a short time. I wish his words had been a companion to me earlier in life, but I wonder if I would have been able to fully appreciate them.
sounds very intriguing. Is it aimed primarily for counselling or is it generally applicable?
@ChrisJWilson Itβs generally applicable. As I recall, all of his books are pretty accessible and directed to a general audience.
I read Sermon on the Mount by Emmet Fox years ago when I was deep in addiction and seriously anti-religious and found it superbly meaningful. I never did βgetβ religion but I eventually achieved long-term sobriety and I appreciate those few chapters from Matthew more than any other scripture.
